Now, we know that Migis is not a place you particularly want to leave. But! If you get a notion to look around our part of the world a bit, start in Bridgton, Maine. Out our driveway, hang a left, roll through Naples and soon you're there. Access this delightful walk right in the middle of town, behind the Magic Lantern Movie Theater. Then, go see a movie!
Don't float away too far! Come aboard for a great summer job!
Starting the quiz. Pencils sharp and ready? Where did Tim go to college? 👨🎓
#tbt There may be a quiz later, so now's the time to study up on your Migis history! Thank you, Malcolm, for gathering this info back in 1978. And, fun fact. Mr. Hunt's granddaughter Chloe was a lovely fall bride here in 2015. #familytradition
#weddingwednesday Six months already, Josie and Sam! Congratulations again.
We should invite this woman for a visit, don't you think? #firewood
And may your home be filled with good friends and heavenly aromas. Happy St. Patrick's Day!
These days are on the way.
On this very day in 1820, Maine became a state! Thank you, Bodie, Maine Tourism Association and Portland Head Light for being such good models. We know what our favorite 125 acres of Maine is. 🌲 #maine199
Okay. Enough of #FacebookDown foolishness. On with #PiDay thoughts! Remember last week when Pastry Chef Cait told us she's working blueberries into the menu every day? Oh, boy. We will be celebrating #Pi all the time. At least 3.14 times per week! 🥧
And Adam's buckets are still collecting sap. He will be ready for Maine Maple Sunday, despite #FacebookDown! Sweet.
Of course Scott's Bodie was having a great time with Robyn's Maisie yesterday. Their only concern about #FacebookDown was that they couldn't model for #dogsofInstagram. Still, they ran around a lot and got lots of treats.
Justin did notice, sort of, that when he scrolled Instagram a bit that the responses to photos were quite underwhelming. Like, hmm? What's up with that? And that was the end of his concern about #FacebookDown...and Instagram and WhatsApp. So he is bravely back to answering your queries.
Eileen said "Really? Facebook was shut down?" Back to the Red Book (like we also saw at The American Hotel - Sag Harbor) 🙂. She's busy filling it in with all of you who have confirmed reservations. Do you have yours? #oldschool #FacebookDown
Having a bit of fun with this today. These fellows are moving lumber down the slope in preparation for redecking the main dock. The better to waterski with, my dear! They too were unperturbed by the lack of Snapchat etc. yesterday. Excellent! We look forward to that resurfaced dock! #FacebookDown
The gentlemen from Jal-Bear Carpentry, INC. are working apace on this delicate tiling in the new Tamarack/Canoe bathrooms. Justin said he had to run around in circles for a half hour when alarmed by the FB meltdown, but he recovered after that. #FacebookDown
Mount Washington was hiding a bit behind the clouds looking out from Hacker's Hill this morning, but it didn't seem disturbed about the Facebook gap. #FacebookDown
On the Facebook front....our friend JVP at the Casco, Maine town office still managed to package up our license info despite the worldwide FB meltdown, so you folks will still enjoy beverages from our bar this upcoming season. Whew! #FacebookDown
#tbt That Frances Gulick; she knew the right crowd to hang with! Undated photo, but probably late 1920s meeting of the Cumberland County Fish and Game Club. We're still doing plenty of fishing here; borrow one of our rods or call the guys at Songo River Guide Service to take you out for a half or full day.
Well! We’re back on the Facebook lane of the Information Highway! What did you do with your FB free minutes/hours/afternoon? What will you do today? We will explore these important questions today on the Migis Lodge beat. 🙂

Bustling inside, hushed outside. #migispeople at work.
Another storm is on the horizon. Thomas took a brief contemplative stroll on Sebago last night at sunset to check the ice before it covers with snow again. Migis sunsets are a joy all year round.
What do you say we all practice really hard, then meet on the main dock for a symphony just before the first Wednesday island cookout? First boat leaves at noon....June 19!
#weddingwednesday Golden hour in October. Oh, that gentle glow.
Quickly trying to figure out when we'll experience the first tantalizing aromas from the kitchen this year. Sigh. Too long. #bringyourappetite
We have our own version of the green flash.
The colors are a little different today, though also beautiful. Nice to see these gents return from a refreshing October spin. This could be you!
Maybe you think you've seen this movie before, but we always love the fresh version. Besides, this one has a little wave from Thomas in it! Thursday morning, rolling in after fresh snow.
We still have glorious sunsets this time of year. They're a bit more solitary and austere, but we're happy to share them with you. 🙂🌏
We may have to skip the disc golf game today, but don't you worry. We can still answer the phone!
